General Information


The average temperature in November and December is around 20 degrees Celsius (68 °F). It generally feels warm during the day and wears a long-sleeve shirt is enough while a light cardigan or jacket may be needed in the early morning and night. Carrying an umbrella is recommended.


Taiwan’s currency is the New Taiwan dollar (NT$). Foreign currencies can be exchanged at hotels, airports and banks. Major credit cards (Visa, Master, JCB, AMEX) are widely accepted, and traveler’s checks may be accepted by tourist-oriented shops and at most international tourist hotels and banks. Banks open from 09:00 to 15:30, Monday through Friday and are closed on weekends and public holidays.


Electricity in Taiwan is 110 Volts, alternating at 60 cycles per second. However, the shape of a socket varies between countries, a portable plug adaptor may be necessary. The flat blade attachment plug is generally accepted.


The official language of the Congress is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

The organizer is not able to take any responsibility whatsoever for injury or damage involving persons and property during the Congress. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
