About APSR

The Asian Pacific Society of Respirology was established in 1986 and the objectives of the Society are the advancement and promotion of knowledge of the respiratory system in health and disease. It strives to encourage research, improve clinical practice through teaching, increase awareness of health problems in the area and promote the exchange of knowledge among respirologists in the Asia-Pacific region. The specific aims of the Society are:

  • Promoting and coordinating activities in the field of respiratory medicine
  • Fostering research activities in the field of respiratory medicine
  • Organizing and coordinating regular congresses and occasional meetings
  • Producing regular publications, including a newsletter, the APSR Respiratory Updates and a journal, Respirology (http://news.wiley.com/apsrcongress) 



Taiwan Society of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (TSPCCM) is a non-profit society devoted to advance treatment, education and research level of pulmonary and critical care medicine. Our missions:

  • Organize a range of scientific and educational events in pulmonary and critical care medicine
  • Produce publications including journal and newsletter in pulmonary and critical care medicine
  • Drive standards in pulmonary and critical care medicine through education and professional development opportunities
  • Offer a range of activities from e-learning, interactive teaching and activities to harmonize education standards, alongside funding opportunities for fellowships, awards, and grants
  • Promote the best science and provide access to high-quality educational resources
